Football NEWS -Friendly Wins For Cameroon, Morocco

Five time African champions the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Uganda in friendly in Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday.

Enzo Boyomo opened the gate of goals in the 34th minute before Batoum doubled the Lions' lead in the 48th.

Aboubakar Vincent teed up Patrick Soko in the 69th minute for the third goal to leave the Cranes of Uganda looking for oxygen.

 

In another friendly in far away Moscow, the Russian capital, the Super Eagles of Nigeria came from behind to pull a 1-1 draw with ostracized, blacklisted and hapless Russia.

In the 27th minute, Ajayi unwittingly diverted the ball into his own net beyond a stranded goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, to their host the lead

Substitute Tolu Arokodare level score with 19 minutes left on the clock. It was his first goal for Nigeria, and was no more than Nigeria's endeavour deserved.

Meanwhile, Morocco secured a solid 2-0 victory over Tunisia on Friday night in a friendly game at the Fez Grand Stadium.

The first goal came from Achraf Hakimi, who finally broke the deadlock in the 80th minute. The Paris Saint-Germain defender tapped the ball in from close range after a well-placed cross by Eliesse Ben Seghir following a corner.

 

The goal was long-awaited as Morocco struggled to break down Tunisia's defense. Hakimi, in excellent form after leading PSG to their first-ever Champions League title just last week, once again proved decisive and showed sharp movement and confidence throughout the match.

Just when it seemed the match would end 1-0, substitute Ayoub El Kaabi added a second goal during added time, sealing the win and sending Moroccan fans into celebration.

It was a tightly contested game with both teams creating chances but struggling to find the back of the net. Morocco dominated much of the second half, with substitutes bringing energy to the attack, especially in the final minutes, as they pushed forward and tested Tunisia's defense.

In two other friendlies, Republic of Ireland and Senegal played 1-1 and South Africa and Tanzania pkayed goalless.
