More Than Machine has been shortlisted for Best Original Content at the 2025 SportsPro Media Awards, marking another major accolade for the breakout motorsport series.
Taking place on 18 November at La Quinta de Jarama in Madrid, the SportsPro Media Awards celebrate the best in global sports content and innovation. The Best Original Content category recognises the top non-live sports content produced for OTT or digital platforms, with previous honourees including Amazon's Take Us Home: Leeds United and the Olympic docuseries All Around.
Launched in August 2024, More Than Machine is a seven-part documentary series following M-Sport Ford's 2024 FIA World Rally Championship campaign. Produced by Superlative Films in partnership with team sponsor SafetyCulture, the series was praised for its human-first approach and all-access lens into one of motorsport's most demanding disciplines.
"Being nominated for Best Original Content is a true testament to the passion, dedication, and storytelling talent of our team here at Superlative," said Gary Osborne, founder and director of Superlative Films. "Bringing to light the human stories behind those rally machines has been a real privilege, and we can't wait for fans to see how Season 2 captures the journey across all three teams. It's going to be explosive."
The series has already earned international recognition, with its third episode, Legacy, recently nominated in the Best Documentary Episode category at the 2025 International Motor Film Awards. It also received a 'Highly Commended' accolade in the Best Documentary category at The Race Media Awards earlier this year.

M-Sport Ford Team Principal Rich Millener added: "Seeing first-hand what has gone into this series, being nominated for these awards is a wonderful additional accolade, especially for Luke and Superlative. Superlative seamlessly embedded themselves into our team, quickly becoming part of the background which allowed them to capture the incredible work, passion and emotion that personifies the M-Sport brand. It's been an amazing experience to be part of this."
SafetyCulture Executive Chairman Luke Anear, whose team has played a key role in making the series happen, said the dual nominations reflect the strength of the storytelling: "To be nominated for a second award in a matter of weeks speaks volumes for the strength of this series and why we committed to a second season, in which we will lift the lid even more on the WRC service park, additionally following the stories behind the scenes at Toyota and Hyundai."
The second season of More Than Machine is currently in production, with filming expanding to cover all three WRC manufacturer teams - Toyota, Hyundai and M-Sport Ford - throughout the 2025 season. It promises to delve even deeper into the high-stakes, high-pressure world of the FIA World Rally Championship and bring fans closer than ever to the sport's unsung heroes.
